On Saturday 1st December, 2018 we had the pleasure of hosting Natalie and Tim’s stunning summer wedding. We asked them a few questions about their special day, read on for their answers in their own words.
How did you meet?
We met each other on Tinder.
How did Tim pop the question?
We were decorating the Christmas tree at home on 6 December 2017 and I turned to get the next bauble and he was on bended knee asking me to marry him…it was perfect.
Why did you choose Indooroopilly Golf Club as your wedding venue?
It was everything we were looking for to create our perfect day, a beautiful outdoor ceremony space, wet weather room option, bridal room, stunning reception room and the endless choices available which were inclusive of the price was amazing. The cherry on top was that my grandfather whom sadly passed away 29 years ago and my father were/are members at the club and therefore there was a sentimental reason as to why we chose it as well.
Favourite Wedding Day memory?
Tim’s favourite memory is walking down the aisle as husband and wife.
Natalie’s is walking up the aisle, everything just seemed to fade away as she saw him waiting for her.

Were there any funny moments throughout your day?
We were doing our entrance into the reception and as we entered my dress got caught under the door and this made everyone laugh.
Did you include any personal touches to your day?
We had a beautiful table set up with photos of our grandparents who have passed away to be able to honour and include them on our special day.
What advice would you give to future couples planning a wedding?
It’s the best day of your life…don’t let the things that go wrong or not as planned on the day get you down as you cannot change them. Like water on a duck’s back let it go, laugh it off and focus on each other and you’ll have the best time.
Is there anything else you would like to say about your special day?
It really was the best day of our lives and we will treasure the memories forever. Indooroopilly Golf Club really did go up and beyond our expectations and the customer service provided both by our coordinator from start to finish and the team on the day was amazing and we can’t stop recommending Indooroopilly Golf Club to everyone.
