Jessie and Cory’s lovely wedding was held on Friday 18th September, 2020. We asked them a few questions about their special day, read on for their answers in their own words.
How did you choose Indooroopilly Golf Club as your wedding venue?
We were blown away by location! The open ceremony location with the gorgeous fig tree, the countless photo locations around the course and the large open reception rooms with the added bonus of the deck!
How did you meet?
We are high school sweethearts! Our story began at Dakabin State High School over 10 years ago!
How did Cory pop the question?
Cory popped the question in the house that we designed and built together as symbol of continuing to build and grow our lives together!

Favourite Wedding Day memory?
How could we pinpoint just one! The entire day from start to finish was incredibly magical however a few highlights that really stood out were our ceremony, the photo shoot, cutting of the cake, father daughter dance and our best kept secret……our fireworks display!
Did you include any personal touches to your day?
We did a lot of personal touch decorations from our lantern and floral centrepieces to our Disney mailbox to our glow sticks!
Also who could forget the chocolates for our flower girls and page boys that we hid at the bottom of the flower girl baskets! They were a hit throughout our ceremony!
What advice would you give to future couples planning a wedding?
It’s never too early to start planning! We got engaged in July and decided to get married in September of the following year. By the time January rolled around, we had around 90% of our vendors booked and our themes planned out. Luckily for us we had because when COVID hit, there was so much unknown that a lot of vendors shut down or did not want to commit to dates due to the global pandemic and the unknown of the future so planning early definitely worked out in our favour!
Is there anything else you would like to say about your special day?
We cannot begin to express how grateful we are to the team at Indooroopilly but especially Stephanie! During such unknown and uncertain times, she was always so supportive and understanding! No matter how small the request or how silly the question, she was always so willing to help! All of our vendors were also incredibly understanding and supportive during such crazy circumstances! When it came to our day, everyone worked incredibly hard to make sure all of our guests were safe but still made everything so incredibly special!
