Katrina and Matt’s stunning wedding was held on Saturday 7th September, 2019. We asked them a few questions about their special day, read on for their answers in their own words.
How did you meet?
Night out at the Archive Bar, West End.
How did Matt pop the question?
We were watching the New Year’s fireworks in Berlin when Matt went down on one knee and popped the question.
Why did you choose Indooroopilly Golf Club as your wedding venue?
The location, the grounds, the facilities, the package inclusions, the staff…couldn’t get any better! It was the first wedding venue we visited and none of the others we visited measured up to Indooroopilly Golf Club!

Were there any funny moments throughout your day?
There were many moments that were amusing! But the funniest moment was the handover at the ceremony, Katrina’s father said as a joke to Matt, “So have you got my cheque ready, because I’m not just giving her away for nothing?!” Matt, who is usually quite quick witted, was speechless! Everyone had a good laugh! (picture included)

Favourite Wedding Day memory?
Golf cart riding around the course; taking photos, eating nibbles, and having a few drinks! A good breather before heading into the reception.
What advice would you give to future couples planning a wedding?
It’s your day and you can do what you want!.
Is there anything else you would like to say about your special day?
A huge thanks to our Coordinator’s Stephanie and Ruby. Stephanie was patient and organised leading up to the wedding and Ruby was wonderful throughout our wedding day! The day could not have been made better; everything was perfect!
