Darcie and Jason’s stunning wedding was held on Saturday 16th October, 2021. We asked them a few questions about their special day, read on for their answers in their own words.
How did you choose Indooroopilly Golf Club as your wedding venue?
Friendly staff were genuinely passionate about making our day special. Great value and the grounds are stunning.
How did you meet?
High School (although she claims to not remember!)
How did Jason pop the question?
On one knee by the waterfalls in the botanic gardens after lunch at the beach.

Were there any funny moments throughout your day?
Video speeches from Brothers of both the Bride & Groom including pets and questionable wardrobe choices.
Favourite Wedding Day memory?
Turning around and looking at my soon to be Bride as she walked down the aisle.
Fireworks choreographed with a Disney theme.
Nailing a lift & spin in the First Dance.
Did you include any personal touches to your day?
Fireworks were a surprise to all the guests.
First Dance choreographed by the Bride’s best friend stuck overseas (France COVID).
Brothers of both the Bride & Groom delivered a speech via video (Melbourne COVID).
What advice would you give to future couples planning a wedding?
Have a list of the vendors you need, agree on your budget and set deadlines for when you need something booked/sorted by. Review the list frequently with your partner and share the tasks, frequently ticking off small items can help keep the positivity and momentum. Don’t be afraid to ask ‘dumb’ questions of the vendor, they’re the experts who are used to helping couples get exactly what they want.
